BORDER EUPHORIA (2023)
performance

In his latest performance, Giacomo Veronesi works with residents of the Estonian-Russian border town of Narva, some of whom have had gray “alien” passports since the collapse of the Soviet Union. In our time obsessed with maps and borders, Veronesi invites audiences to engage with unsettled citizenship and its potential label. Against the backdrop of ongoing war, the performance questions our perception of Europe and its borders.
